I'm a Granddad again

I'm a granddad again, Sharon gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Riley on 23rd February 2011 and he wieghed in at a whopping 9lb 14oz. Sharon Dale and Korey are all chuffed at the latest addition to their family.
Also I've had my third and last appointment with the consultant who was appointed to try to find out what was wrong with my nerves in my feet and hands. Needless to say she doesn't know what caused this to happen or what should happen in the future except to say that I'll be in pain for the rest of my life, all those years in medical school weren't wasted on this doctor.
Work wise I am still working far too many hours, I know this but trying to cut back is so bloody hard, I've just completed a working week, Monday to Sunday, of 63 hours that's 27 hours of overtime.
Anyway chuffed with the birth of Riley so I'll go away just now grinning like a chesire cat Hahaha.

Here I am again

Once more it's been a while.

It's been 3 months since I had my nerve and skin Biopsies done, the results have been in since the start of December. Anyone who has been following this blog, and lets be very serious that actually means no-one, will know that my consultant isn't known for keeping on top of things. Getting the results to me of course means that I am still waiting to know what is wrong with my nerves. The consultant is off sick and has been since the beginning of December, probably on a skiing holiday. She's due back at work on Monday 17 January, I almost held my breath in anticipation. If she remains true to form I anticipate getting the results about Easter time.

I am extremely angry about the way my treatment has been progressed. I know that I seem to make light of the situation but that is just to stave off the depression which I feel washing over me as things drag on longer and longer.

I am going to start looking into how I actually complain about my treatment and who to complain to, I mean is my consultants professor as bad as she is, doesn't he do case studies where he reviews his juniors case load to see if they need any assistance.

Book reading has falling by the wayside for a bit. The last book I was reading was Iceberg see panel on the right for author. I got about half way through it when I gave up it was just too bad.

Sharon is due her new baby in a few weeks, looking forward to being a granddad for the second time. Chuffed to bits really. Korey is 22 months old this month and an absolute star he just had his first real Christmas where he was expecting Santa and put out biscuits and and carrot for the big guy and the reindeers. He loved opening his presents Buzz Lightyear and Potato head were favourites until he found some cardboard boxes to play in then it was his sit in car I was going to say pedal car but it doesn't have pedals almost the same idea. He is stringing more and more words together making phrases of 2 to 4 words - favourite phrase is "Granny does it".

Okay well I'm off for another wee while.

Happy New Year Phantom readers.
