I had a 5 hour consult with a specialist in Glasgow the other week, a very worthwhile experience. He patiently asked questions and listened to the answers before forming his next question. Which was refreshing as my consultant in Edinburgh seemed to have a list of questions which she would ask and had already included answers to them so didn't appear to have to listen too much to her patient - me - give answers. He also had more tests done on my muscle and never endings which showed that feet and legs are worse than they were last year at this time and my hands have damage to the nerves as well mainly in the palms. Upshot is that I had around about a quarter pint of blood taken for more tests - don't Doctors love a blood test - waiting to hear about those now. He will be recommending to my Edinburgh Specialist that I have a nerve biopsy. I wonder how long that will take there never seems to be any sense of urgency within the NHS. I'll have to look up what is involved in a nerve biopsy.
It's raining outside as I write / type - which is it when you use a keyboard do you write or type or perhaps both. The drugs I'm on make me almost permanently tired and addled at times they never stop the pain which is getting worse by the day it seems. A Sottish summer is upon us no kidding.
Just completing 10 - 11 hour shifts and feeling very tired - two of the Jannie's are either sick or on holiday so I am on my own, great fun not, it is truly hard work being a Jannie especially when you're the Head Jannie. We go on holiday next week for a fortnight and I am so looking forward to it. We are away to Southport for a week a complete break from work and home then back to some decorating around the house, do I ever rest.
Korey my grandson is now 16 months old and a wee smasher running around and trying to speak but not quite there with some of the words he uses. My niece was 21 last week went to party and enjoyed myself - there I'm not a total grump.
Anyway I'm off for a bit I may put some holiday snaps on here then again I might not who knows I don't.
